Jo Fleming of Annapolis, Maryland originally earned a BFA from MICA in Baltimore. Abstract environmental landscape paintings led her to exhibit work in the US Embassy of Mongolia and US Institute in Taiwan with “Arts in Embassies” program.
“Painting is a way of contemplating the natural landscape and my relationship to it. I’m drawn to wild places, changing weather and light, punctuated by visual elements of human presence in the coastal landscape.”
